Halloween is drawing near, and it’s time to bring your little goblins and ghouls to the Museum for a night of FRIGHT-full family fun!
Make your way around the Museum to find our host of ghostly guests. They’re straight out of the weirdest pages of Welsh folklore - are you brave enough to discover who’s hiding where?
Each night the Wicker Man will burn. Celebrate as summer turns to winter and make a wish as the sparks fly high!
Drop into our creepy craft workshops for lantern making, potion stirring and more…
Take a walk through an immersive spooky scare zone. Enter if you dare! *
Come dressed to impressed in creepy costumes and dance the night away at the brand-new Haunted House disco.
Learn about the Wicker Man at the Cockpit. Make a mini wicker man to burn during the finale.
Stop for a snack and a drink at Cilewent Corner, where you’ll find this year’s street food vendors.
*Please note: this activity may be particularly frightening for some children as it involves scare actors and loud noises. Actors will tailor the level of scare for each child. Entry to this activity should be decided by the supervising adult.
Bring cash for enjoyment at the fair and the Maker’s Market.
The price of your ticket includes:
• Drop-in workshop activities including:
- Lantern Making
- Potion stirring
- Make a Mini Wickerman
• Display of over 50 beautifully carved Swedes
• Entry to the Scare Zone experience
• Entry to the Haunted House disco
• One token per person to be redeemed at the fairground (Children: 1 Ride OR 1 trip through the mirrors | Adults: 1 go on the coconuts only)
• Halloween character walkabouts, storytellers, and performances
• Burning of the Wicker Man at 8:30pm
• Free car parking (after 4.30pm)
* Excludes Makers’ Market activities.
Food and drinks will be available to purchase from the Museum café in the Main Building, on site Fish & Chips shop, and street food area on Cilewent Corner.
Accessibility
Only Assistance dogs are permitted on-site for this event.
Prams and pushchairs are permitted on site but cannot be taken into the historic buildings.

Age guidance
This is a family event, with activities suitable for children 5 - 12 years old. This is a recommended age guidance only - younger children are welcome to attend at your discretion. Infants under 2 years old are welcome to attend but will require a free infant ticket. Infants will not be able to participate in craft activities and will not get a free ride / game at the fair.
Important Information
Parking is very limited at St Fagans, please consider car share.
- All tickets must be purchased in advance. Spaces are limited and we expect tickets to sell out quickly.
- The event and its activities are suitable for children aged 5+. All children must be accompanied by an adult, at all times.
- All pushchairs must be left outside the historic buildings.
- Weather-appropriate clothing should be worn. You will be required to wait outside until doors open at 5.30pm and you may have to wait outside the buildings for entry to activities and workshops.
- Your ticket price includes free parking.
- All tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for an alternative date or event. Please ensure that you are 100% happy with your choices before booking.
- You will receive an order confirmation at the time of booking.
- You will receive a pre-event email which will give you access to the Halloween Site Map. Please remember to download and save the map before arriving on site. (We are following sustainability policies by cutting down on printing supplies).

Opening Hours
10am – 5pm daily (open Bank Holiday Mondays)
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.
Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.
Parking
If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. £30 yearly ticket in advance. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

- Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit.
- The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
