Event:Dementia Friendly Activity: A visit to the Rhyd-y-Car terrace and the Oakdale Workmen’s Institute

St Fagans National Museum of History
Finished

Join us at St Fagans National Museum of History as we visit the Rhyd-y-Car terraced houses and Oakdale Workmen’s Institute and explore some of the related objects in our galleries and from our handling collection.

The session involves:

  • A warm welcome in a dedicated space
  • A chance to explore and enjoy our outdoor environment, galleries and collections
  • A warm drink and a chat

The session will take place within the museum so there are not any long distances to walk. It lasts approximately 2 hours with breaks and refreshments will be provided.

Information on accessibility at museum can be found here.

These opportunities are open to both those living with dementia and those supporting people living with dementia.

Booking is essential. To book a space, click on the ‘Book tickets’ box to the right.  Alternatively, please use the contact details below.

Should travel be a barrier to you participating, support is available and can be discussed.

For more information, or to discuss any concerns you may have about joining us, please get in touch by email mims@museumwales.ac.uk or phone 029 2057 3418.
