The Mind-Body Connection – Using Hypnosis for Reproductive Health and Wellbeing

This workshop focuses on the use of hypnosis for health, and specifically, for fertility and pregnancy and birth. Hypnobirthing, is a way of using deep relaxation and self-hypnosis in labour and birth. It helps you to relax and cope with the physical effort of labour and birth, and can reduce the effects of tension, fear and pain on the way the body works in labour. We use a process of breathing and relaxation, and the use of ‘scripts’ which are simply positive stories that you can use to focus on relaxing and achieving that state of calm and confidence in yourself, your health and if appropriate, pregnancy and birth. We help you develop techniques which you can use to manage stress and discuss how to take charge of mental, emotional and physical health using mind-body techniques. This interactive workshop busts the myths around hypnosis and shows you how to use positive language to bring about positive change in your life and wellness.
