The Afterlife of Violence: Refugee Wales is a partnership research project between Cardiff University and Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales, with the advice and support of Oasis Cardiff.

We explore:

  • How does being a refugee change people’s sense of who they are and where they belong?

  • How do refugees cope with adapting to a new country and a new home?

  • What do museums need to understand to be able to support refugees through this process?

Tickets

Join the team working on the project to explore these questions and to reflect on their experiences of collecting life story interviews with Syrian and Sri Lankan Tamil refugees during the Covid crisis.

Panellists will include:

  • Dr Angham Abdullah, Cardiff University
  • Sioned Hughes, Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales
  • Professor Radhika Mohanram, Cardiff University
  • Reynette Roberts MBE, Oasis Cardiff
  • Dr Samuel Sequeria, Cardiff University

This event will be hosted as a Zoom Webinar which will be sent to you shortly before the event.
