Digital Event: Trawsnewid - Queer Life Drawing

Join Breifni and Luke for a relaxed, fun session of LGBTQ+ life drawing. You’ll be using different figure drawing techniques whilst chatting about LGBTQ+ bodies in museum spaces and how we can ‘queer’ our perspective on art and history.  
Our model for this evening will be striking a number of partially clothed poses to help your technique. 

This live session is 1 hour long and is suitable for age 16+ 

Materials you will need for this online life drawing session:

  • Pens

  • Pencils 

  • Paper 

  • Any other sketching/drawing materials of your choice

This session will be held via Zoom.  
Please note, that the settings for this workshop, will enable cameras, but the use of your camera is entirely optional. 


Trawsnewid is an Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales project for LGBTQ+ young people aged 16-25. It explores queer and gender non-conforming figures in Welsh history and supports participants to create work inspired by their own experiences. 

The Trawsnewid team have created a series of exciting workshops and a Cabaret showcasing their work, specially for Swansea Pride, Museum Stage.
