The Recipe
You will need
- three pounds blackcurrants
- three pints cold water
- six pounds sugar
Method
- Pour the water over the fruit, bring to the boil and simmer for fifteen minutes.
- Add the sugar, and boil for a further ten minutes.
- Add the sugar, and boil for a further ten minutes.
- Leave to cool and pour into warm pots.
- Cover the jam immediately.
