Anglesey Caraway Bread

The Recipe

You will need

  • one pound plain flour
  • a little baking powder
  • two and a half ounces butter
  • one ounce sugar
  • half an ounce caraway seeds
  • half a pint milk
  • a little salt

Method

  1. Rub the fat into the flour, work in the other dry ingredients and gradually add the milk to make a soft dough. 
  2. Put it into a greased cake tin and bake in a moderately hot oven for approximately one hour.
