The Recipe
You will need
- one pound plain flour
- a little baking powder
- two and a half ounces butter
- one ounce sugar
- half an ounce caraway seeds
- half a pint milk
- a little salt
Method
- Rub the fat into the flour, work in the other dry ingredients and gradually add the milk to make a soft dough.
- Put it into a greased cake tin and bake in a moderately hot oven for approximately one hour.
