A popular dish during harvest time, it was usually eaten as a snack between meals.

Rhydlewis, Cardiganshire.

This dish was known as sopas in parts of Pembrokeshire, e.g. Trefdraeth, Pembrokeshire.

The Recipe

You will need

  • three tablespoonfuls oatmeal
  • cold buttemilk

Method

  1. Put the oatmeal in a basin or bowl and fill it with buttermilk. 
  2. Stir well and eat immediately.
