Nettle Pop

Gower

The Recipe

You will need

  • one handful dandelion leaves
  • one handful nettle leaves
  • one handful ground ivy
  • one stick rhubarb
  • one and a half pounds sugar
  • half an ounce yeast

Method

  1. Cover the leaves and rhubarb with water and boil for ten minutes. 
  2. Strain and add the sugar to the liquid. 
  3. Allow to cool, then add the yeast and leave to ferment overnight. 
  4. Strain again, pour into bottles and cork securely.
