Sophia Goodwin, née Howell, and her sister, Alice Bowen
Alice was a teacher at Nantcwmrhys, which was in the nearby village of Hermon, Carmarthenshire. The school closed in 1956. She also taught at another local school in Cwmduad village, which is now a Community Centre.
