Clock tower, Cardiff castle, early 20th century
The Clock tower was designed by the architect, William Burges, and was completed in the 1870s. From 1866 Burges was employed by the 3rd Marquess of Bute to redesign and refurbish Cardiff Castle in the style of the Victorian Gothic Revival.
