Museum Workshop

Lambing at St Fagans

Did you know we have a working farm at St Fagans National History Museum? Every March our ewes give birth to their lambs, and we would like to offer schools the opportunity to see our shepherd in action.

Booking this session for your school group will allow you to:

  • Visit Llwyn yr Eos yard and lambing shed
  • meet our shepherd, find out more about our sheep and lambs,
  • catch-up with any lambs who have already been born and
  • potentially see lambs being born during your visit.
Dates: 2-13 March 2026
Cost: Led by Museum staff - £40 for up to 15 pupils, £60 for up to 35. Free for some schools (see booking information).
