Museum Workshop

Dreams of the future - Exploring the science and art of flight at the turn of the 20th century

Today we take for granted being able to jump on a plane and be anywhere in the world within hours.

What was it like in the early days of flight? Discover the story of the Museum's monoplane, the Robin Goch, and its Cardiff-born inventor, Charles Horrace Watkins.

During this workshop you will work with  professional local author and illustrator Thomas Docherty, who will inspire you to head off on your very own imaginative literacy journey and explore the amazing stories of early aviation, science, invention and art.

Available at the National Waterfront Museum or online.

Duration: 1 hour
Cost: Led by Museum staff - £40 for up to 15 pupils, £60 for up to 35. Free for some schools (see booking information).
