Museum Workshop

Hawlio Heddwch - Claiming Peace. Peace, protest, and activism in Wales.

Come to see our exhibition Hawlio Heddwch, then join us for a workshop to learn about peace, protest and activism in Wales through history. Through this collaborative workshop between Amgueddfa Cymru, The Temple of Peace, and the Welsh Centre for International Affairs, your learners will create their own ‘Action Plan’ to become ‘Changemakers for Peace’. Choose a hypothetical cause to stand up for, or a real one, anywhere from world peace, to no more broccoli on the school menu, and help your learners understand their rights, the laws, and the history, of protest in Wales.

Like to take your journey one step further? Stay on for a second hour to begin putting your ‘Action Plan’ into action! Join museum staff to create placards, banners, petitions, or whatever your learners decide for their cause, and put them into action on site at St Fagans.

This workshop is designed for pupils aged 11-14, but can be adapted to younger or older learners, please enquire when booking. The workshop is available to book now, with workshops beginning from the start of the new term on April 8th.

Maximum of 30 pupils per session.
