Wales REACH

Amgueddfa Cymru and the Open University are working together for Wales REACH (Residents Engaging in Arts, Culture and Heritage). REACH is a heritage and creative arts project working with a range of communities across Wales, including:

  • Butetown in Cardiff
  • Dyffryn Nantlle in Gwynedd
  • Sandfields in Port Talbot
  • People with learning disabilities in Rhondda Cynon Taf and the Vale of Glamorgan
  • Rural communities in Pembrokeshire

In each community, we will work together to uncover hidden stories, highlight local talent and explore Amgueddfa Cymru’s collections. The result will be a mix of online showcases and a physical exhibition.

If you live in one of these areas and would like to get involved, please contact Wales.REACH@open.ac.uk.

Wales REACH is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

It is a partnership between thirteen organisations and is led by The Open University and Amgueddfa Cymru. It is funded with a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The current phase started in autumn 2024 and is scheduled to run until autumn 2026.
