Get Involved
We have a variety of ways for young people to get involved with Amgueddfa Cymru, from fun group activities with the Youth Forum, to more independent project delivery as an Amgueddfa Cymru Producer, Work Placements or even projects where you submit Your Idea or Take Over our Instagram page. From taking part to taking the lead we cater to different engagement needs and styles. We want to be as approachable as possible, please get in touch via
bloedd.ac@museumwales.ac.uk if you want to get involved in any way, or if there are any adjustments we could make or additional support we could offer.The Youth Forum is an inclusive social space for young people that meets regularly to engage with museum projects. If you are aged 14-25 and interested in meeting other young people while getting involved in museum projects, please get in touch with
youth.forum@museumwales.ac.uk to request an application form.The Amgueddfa Cymru Producers are young people aged 16-25 from across Wales, together they form the collective Bloedd Amgueddfa Cymru. They collaborate to develop activities, events and more at the museum and deepen their knowledge about art, culture and creativity in the process. Bloedd AC often work with activists, artists, musicians, educators and curators to develop new projects and to create, experiment and engage in-gallery and online with our collection, museums and heritage.
We recruit Amgueddfa Cymru Producers from all across Wales on an ongoing basis. If you are aged 16-25 and interested in joining Bloedd AC please complete our
registration form and email it back to us via bloedd.ac@museumwales.ac.uk to join the network and start receiving updates on opportunities, projects and meetings.Bloedd AC run their own Instagram account where we showcase work, events and share opportunities. If you have work or a story you want to share, or an event for young people you want to promote you can arrange an Instagram Takeover with us by completing our Instagram takeover
proposal form and emailing it back to us via bloedd.ac@museumwales.ac.uk. To help you create content for our Instagram please download our brand guidelines which includes branding tips, stock images, designs and templates.We are able to offer digital work placements for university students at Amgueddfa Cymru. You will work remotely to support ongoing ACP projects, or collaborate with our museum staff. These placements are suitable for a variety of subjects, from design to journalism, history and more. If you are a university student aged 18-25 and interested in a placement with us get in touch with
bloedd.ac@museumwales.ac.uk to discuss current placement opportunities.If you have an idea for an event, workshop, online activity, show, film screening, party or anything else you’d like to make happen at Amgueddfa Cymru we’d love to hear about it. We will work together to discuss and develop your proposal, which will then be considered by the museum planning committee for inclusion in our annual programme. Please be aware that these processes can take some time. No we won’t steal your ideas ;)
