Thankyou so very much for lambcam. I’m a Childminder, myself & the children have loved watching the baby lambs. I really enjoyed watching the births both on lambcam & face to face when me and my husband brought our grandson. Sadly one lamb was born with complications and didn’t make it but it was amazing to watch the mum with the other lamb. I’ve also enjoyed watching the mischievous lambs & their antics.
Thankyou again can’t wait for next year also thanks to the hard working farm team.

Hi Sara- sad news about the black lamb. Was upsetting to see the ewe trying to clean it up. Guess that's life but am pleased to hear that she's still a mum albeit fostering. I thought there were more ewes this year. Great for the rare breeds to expand and to continue breeding these rare lines. Thank you for your reply. Not many ewes left to birth now xXx

Hi Karen and Alfie

So glad you've been enjoying lambcam again and that you were lucky enough to see the triplets being born!

Unfortunately the black lamb you saw was born dead - but the cheerful news is that we have managed to get the black ewe to foster one of the triplets. This is good because it's often the weakest of triplets that gets left behind and ends up being abandoned.

We have got more lambs this year as we started off with about thirty more breeding ewes in the flock than previous years. The final total once all the stragglers have lambed should be around the 220 mark.

Best Wishes from the Lambcam Team

Loved seeing triplets being born. Didn't realise she was carrying 3 until she delivered the 3rd lamb. The ewe did an amazing job unassisted. Have loved lambcam again this year. Got a little upset this morning watching a black ewe with her lamb but the lamb didn't appear to be moving. Hope all is okay. Many births this year is this a record number of lambs? Well done shepherds. Fantastic job again. Best wishes Karen and Alfie xXx

I've been glued to your lambcam for days, I'm thoroughly enjoying watching the ewes and the beautiful lambs being born, it's all very exciting. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I live on the south coast so I'm miles away from your farm. You're doing an excellent job helping the little lambs into the world when needed. I went to Coombes, our local farm yesterday, (Saturday) I saw one mum struggle, the team there jumped in quickly to help too, talking us through as they went, all went well. Thanks again and best wishes to you all for a very successful lambing season!!! Caroline, West Sussex

We came to the lambing session yesterday and it was great to see all the mothers with their new lambs. I loved guessing which sheep was going to give birth next and I got it right when a two black lambs were born at 12:30!

Thanks very much from all the boys at Greenhill School.

Absolutely loved checking in on the LambCam this season - from all the way "across the pond" - during my lunch breaks. We're looking forward to visiting St. Fagan's in early June during our holiday to the UK! See you soon!
