Museum Workshop

Victorian School Lesson: A visit to Maestir School

🔍 Discover and Explore

Discover the difference between schools in Victorian times and today by taking part in a lesson with a strict Victorian teacher! How would it feel to be a pupil in a Victorian school? Your class can find out by taking part in this immersive role play workshop.

✏️ Take part

Take a seat at your desk in our original Victorian School. You will be taught reading, writing, maths, and poetry and experience what a school day was like in the Victorian period. Pupils' knowledge will be tested with a Q&A too!

The Victorian teacher is stricter than today’s teachers and they can be quite stern. Please let us know when you are booking if you have any pupils that would be sensitive to this experience, and we will do our best to make everyone feel comfortable.
