Walking with Romans
🔍 Discover and Explore
Explore Isca’s stunning amphitheatre and barracks with your own Roman guide! This workshop can be added on to your school trip booking as an additional facilitated session.
✏️ Take Part
Immerse yourself in real Roman ruins! March and charge in the amphitheatre like Roman soldiers did nearly 2000 years ago. Stand in the barracks where the soldiers of Isca ate, drank, and slept!
ℹ️ About This Session
This session takes place outdoors, with little shade or cover, and no areas to sit and rest. While this session has been designed with primary pupils in mind, pupils with mobility issues may find the uneven ground difficult.
Please let us know when you are booking if you have any pupils that would be sensitive to these experiences, and we will do our best to make everyone feel comfortable!
Curriculum
Humanities: Events and human experiences are complex, and are perceived, interpreted and represented in different ways.
