Create Picasso-inspired art with a simple crackle glaze effect finish.

You will need:

Paper

Wax crayons or a candle

A bowl of water

Paint (one colour)

A paintbrush

PVA glue (optional)

Instructions:

1. Take a moment to look at the Picasso vase. Consider the markings and think about how you could incorporate these into a brand new design.

2. Unleash your inner Picasso! Using wax crayons, create your own pottery design. Tip: Apply the crayon heavily, and ensure that the whole design is completely covered.

3. Once completed, scrunch the paper into a ball, then flatten it again. We want to create creases in the paper.

4. Using diluted paint, apply a wash over the whole of your design, then place it aside to dry.

5. Once it has dried, you can apply a layer of PVA glue to seal it and give it the glaze effect.
