Museum Workshop

Washday in Wales with Beti Bwt

🔍Discover and Explore

How different was washday in the days before running water and electricity? Beti Bwt will show you how different it was by taking you through each step of the process. Help Beti scrub, pound and squeeze clothes before putting them out to dry.

✏️ Take Part

Pupils will see up close the washday process before washing machines and electronics. They will get to use a mangle and dolly to help wash grandma’s bloomers!
