Hip Hop: A Welsh Story
🔍 Discover and Explore
Join us at National Museum Cardiff to discover the vibrant story of Welsh Hip Hop. In this interactive workshop, learners will explore Hip Hop’s underground roots in the 1980s and its powerful role in social justice through our temporary exhibition. This workshop invites learners to explore the music, language and culture of pioneering Welsh artists and how these artists have used their music as a platform to speak out against injustice. Through exploring the exhibition and creative activities, learners will discover how Hip Hop became a voice for youth, creativity and community across Wales.
✏️ Take Part
Learners will take part in a spoken word exercise where they will explore Wales’ rich music traditions. They will also create their own album cover and track list based on social issues that are important to them.
