A visit to the National Wool Museum | Meet the Craftspeople

The National Wool Museum offers a unique sensory experience that showcases an industry which dominated Wales in the past. Learners will get the chance to meet talented craftspeople who will demonstrate the wool-making process from fleece to fabric.

Learning groups can make the experience even more unique by booking a facilitator led craft session. We can provide a variety of craft workshops, including weaving and wet felting. Your pupils can get creative and discover for themselves the fascinating world of textile production and design.

The museum staff are flexible and will do their best to accommodate to learners ages and needs.

Length of sessions can vary. Craft element is normally 1 hour.

School visits are available Tuesday – Friday, during opening hours. (Closed on Mondays)

Duration: 2 hours
Cost: Led by Museum staff – free of charge.
