French inspired crêperie launched at Waterfront

Mark this year’s Shrove Tuesday (8 March) with a visit to the brand new Waterfront Crêperie at the city’s National Waterfront Museum.

The café has been transformed into a haven for pancake lovers, offering a mix of savoury galettes and sweet crêpes.

Sweet options include cinnamon and currants, Nutella and banana, Grand Mariner and orange as well as the classic lemon and sugar.

For the savoury fans, there is black bomber cheese and ham, garlic mushrooms, spinach, tuna and sweet corn, plus the Waterfront Galette - a combination of smoked salmon, spring onions, rocket salad, crème fraîche with a freshly sliced wedge of lemon.

Speaking about the new venture, General Manager at the Waterfront Crêperie Wesley Manson said: “It’s great that we’re able to offer something new and different for visitors to the café. We’re aiming to bring a touch of France to the Museum using traditional Brittany batter but with Welsh inspired ingredients - all made freshly in front of you.”

Steph Mastoris, Head of Museum said: “We are very excited about the launch of the new Waterfront Crêperie and it will compliment the existing café offer perfectly. It also provides the perfect social facility for visitors passing through the Museum.”

The Waterfront Crêperie is open daily from 10am to 4.30pm and as well as serving crêpes, it offers a wide range of speciality coffees and a selection of hot and cold snacks.
