It's a packed roster of fun events this Easter!

Activities at the National Waterfront Museum promise “egg-citing” Easter fun this April, with plenty for families to enjoy.

Kids are especially bound to love the rabbits and chicks who will come to stay from 16 April to 2 May from Swansea Community Farm. Visitors can pop in to see them as well as gain an insight into rabbit keeping with a talk by Chris Jones, Manager of the Farm on Sunday 17 April at 2.30pm

Then, get your bunny ears at the ready for this year’s Great Museum Easter Egg Hunt* on Good Friday (22 April, 11.30am & 2.30pm) and Easter Monday (25 April, 11.30am & 2.30pm). The Easter Bunny will be on hand to help families hunt the nooks and crannies of the galleries to discover carefully hidden brightly coloured eggs. Children will also get the chance to make their very own bunny ears and egg cup, which they will use to claim their fair-trade chocolate.

Other activities include Springtime Flora & Fauna (16-21 & 26-29 April, 1.30pm), a drop-in arts and crafts workshop, as well as two bunny-themed gallery film screenings on Sunday 24 April and Sunday 1 May at 2.30pm.

To finish the two weeks off, visitors can have a go at Plant Hammering, a centuries old method of making prints from nature (30 April to 2 May, 2-4pm).

And that’s not all, why not just pop in, relax and enjoy a coffee or try out a delicious savory or sweet crepe at the Waterfront Creperie.

“We’re delighted with our events package this Easter,” said Steph Mastoris, Head of Museum. “There’s something for everyone - from taking part in egg hunts to watching family films. It really is an excellent place to explore Wales’ story of industry and innovation as well as some free Easter-inspired activities!”
