Doors open at National Waterfront Museum

Celebrating this year’s European Heritage Days, the National Waterfront Museum will open its doors this weekend, inviting you to take a behind-the-scenes look at one of the newest and most innovative museums in Wales.

On Saturday, 17 September at 12.30pm and 2.30pm, visitors will get the opportunity to get under-the-skin of the National Waterfront Museum in a tour led by Head of Museum, Steph Mastoris.

Opened in October 2005, the Museum was designed by award-winning Wilkinson Eyre architects and combines the Grade II listed warehouse, former home of theSwanseaMaritime & Industrial Museum, with a brand-new building clad in glass and Welsh slate.

The tours will take place at 12.30pm & 2.30pm, no booking is necessary and everyone is welcome.
