Swansea Pride

Swansea pride is a successful, reoccurring event which allows the museum to showcase the LGBTQ+ community and pride in Wales. 2022 saw a collaboration between the Welsh ballroom and the national waterfront museum in order to platform and celebrate Welsh queer performers. 2023 Swansea pride included workshops such as badge making, circus skills and performances from the wow dolls. As well as this, 'pride speakers corner' was included, an exciting new segment which comprised of two fascinating talks; in conversation with mike parker and queer tales from Wales by Jane Joy.

Mini Pride

This fun, family programme was designed to celebrate being happy, proud, and knowing who you are. Mini pride included bilingual story-time, rainbow-tactic face painting and inclusive kids’ crafts. This family-friendly event will continue to highlight queer families and allows the community to connect and celebrate.
