Education Visits: Terms and Conditions
All educational visits are sold subject to these conditions. Please read these conditions carefully prior to making a booking. By purchasing a workshop, you are entering into an agreement with Amgueddfa Cymru on these terms.
All communication for your visit will be sent via email, please ensure you have access to the email address provided during the booking process.
Please check your order confirmation email carefully as errors cannot always be corrected and refunds will not be made other than in accordance with these Conditions.

Educational visits
By booking an education visit, you confirm that all children/ students aged sixteen years or under will be supervised at all times, in accordance with the following Adult/child ratios:
- Nursery to Year 2 (3 to 7 years old): 1 responsible adult for every 6 children
- Years 3 to 6 (7 to 11 years old): 1 responsible adult for every 10 children
- Years 7 onwards (11+ years old): 1 responsible adult for every 15 children
Additional information such as access needs, allergy requirements and language preference will be required prior to attendance.
Pricing and processing fees

There is a charge for curriculum focused sessions led by Museum staff.
There are three different prices (excluding VAT):
- For sessions of up to 30min for up to 35 pupils - £40
- For sessions of up to 1 hour for up to 15 pupils – £40
- For sessions of up to 1 hour for up to 30 pupils – £60
- For sessions of up to half a day for up to 35 pupils - £100
Some groups with Additional Needs are eligible for free sessions.
Advertised prices exclude VAT but most schools can claim this back from their Local Authority.
Payments can be made by credit card at the time of booking or by invoice. Our Finance Department will send an invoice to your school after your visit.
Once you have paid, we will not increase the price of your tickets. Prices displayed on the website are subject to change without notice.
Cancellations and Amendments Policy
You must let us know as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your visit.
Facilitated activities cancelled at less than a week’s notice may incur an administration charge of £50.
Cancellations received after 10am on the day, as well as groups that arrive late or miss their session, will be subject to the full session price. Additionally, any booking amendments or cancellations may incur a £25 administrative fee.
Should a workshop be cancelled by the Museum, we will attempt to contact you (by email to the email address provided in your order) in advance to arrange substitute tickets. Please check your email inbox before travelling to the Museum to avoid an unnecessary journey should this be the case.
Please note that travel or accommodation expenses will not be compensated should an event or activity be cancelled or re-arranged for an alternative date.
Your Data
The data we collect to fulfil your ticket order may include your name, delivery address, email address, telephone number and debit and/or credit card numbers. We do not retain any of your credit or debit card information.
We may ask for additional event specific data or ask you to answer various general questions about yourself including any activities or events that you are interested in so that your visit and future promotions can be tailored to cover the areas we believe you might be interested in. We have the right to revise and amend these Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in market conditions affecting our business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and changes in our system's capabilities.
