The dimensions given above are about 10% of the size of this inspiring painting, which I feasted my spirit on a few decades ago. I have several times returned to Cardiff hoping to see it again, but it seems to remain locked away from our eyes, a metaphor for the triumph of the Winter of neglect of the Arts which successive British governments have overseen.
