Thanks for your message - I'm so glad to hear our online collections continue to inspire. Personally, I love the 'random pick' on the Art Online home-page - I always discover something new, or rediscover an old favourite! There are also some evocative works in our Images of Industry collection, as well as our Historic Photography pages.

When you mention 'Sketchbooks' - do you mean some sort of app or software?

I saw Sutherlands work at Picton Castle in 1978 during a field trip to St Davids whilst a PG Art Student at Birmingham Poly. It was the start of a lasting interest in Sutherlands work and the Landscapes of Wales which continue to inspire me to this Day. Its great to be able to see the work online. Perhaps you would consider adding Sketchbooks to your site.

This particular Art Online page has just been updated. 'Road at Porthclais with Setting Sun' is actually on display in gallery 7, as is 'Swimmer'. 'Trees with G-shaped Form I' and 'Head II' are displayed in gallery 12.

Are there any Graham Sutherland pictures on display? Every time I look one up it says that it is not on display and I was so looking forward to seeing some when I visit on Tuesday.
