You’ll be able to meet scientists and engineers from Amgueddfa Cymru and Cardiff University and explore loads of fun, interactive activities all while being in the museum after dark!

What can we do?

  • Meet the curators from Natural Sciences and have a taste of some edible bugs.

  • Play our ‘Bridge of Lies’ game and hop, skip and jump your way to the end.

  • Find out how we listen for cracks in materials.

  • Discover how to start star gazing and find out how to use telescopes.

  • Learn about microplastics and recycle some plastic live!

  • Play with the Energy Orchestra.

  • How are fossils formed? And see some amazing specimens up close.

  • Chat to our vertebrates curator about the illegal animal goods that are brought back into the country – and how that endangers animals. With Dr Rhys Jones!

  • Make do and mend! Learn more about upcycling and repairing clothes.

  • Do you know what’s in your mobile phone? See what minerals are used and where in the world they come from.

  • Become a guerrilla gardener – make a seed bomb to take away.

  • Code a robot and make it move.

  • Get hands on with magnetic materials

  • And lots more !!

The museum café and shop will be open during the evening for some snacks and treats!
