Join us for a free tour for blind and visually impaired visitors and find out more about the new resident mammoth in the museum’s Main Hall.
3D scanning and printing were used to recreate the full size extinct Woolly Mammoth skeleton to help us understand this amazing pre-historic animal and the world that he lived in 14,000 years ago.
1 ticket entitles you to bring an accompanying companion.

This is a free tour for blind and visually impaired visitors of the exhibition Picture Post: A Twentieth Century Icon.
This is an opportunity to find out more about one of Britain’s most popular photo-magazines Picture Post. Launched in 1938, Picture Post documented a period of dramatic political and cultural change. It was a leading British example of photojournalism which helped illustrate the social history of Britain through pivotal moments of change, from the rise of fascism in the 1930s to the triumph of popular culture in the 1950s.
