Event:Organ Recital
Join us for the next concert in our organ recital series at 1pm on Friday 25 October.
Robin Baggs studied the organ with Garth Benson, Peter le Huray and Lionel Rogg (Geneva). He read music at Trinity College Cambridge, and completed post-graduate studies there in keyboard performance, palaeography and criticism. In addition to his concert work at home, recital tours have taken him to twelve European countries, and his specialisation in the eighteenth century organ music of Swabia and Austria led to him giving annual concerts there for more than a decade. He has also worked extensively as a writer and critic for the ‘Musical Times’ and other publications, and he is currently Accompanist to a number of Choral Societies in Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. After thirty five years as Organist and then Director of Music at Westonbirt School, Robin now divides his time between private teaching, accompanying and concert work. |
As capacity is limited in the gallery, pre-booking is essential. Sponsored by Friends of Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales. |
