Cwm Colliery Manager, Desmond George Caddy, examining how badly the roof had deteriorated at "62" coal face during early part of the 1984/1985 miners strike. Mr Caddy is kneeling on roof debris which has fallen onto the conveyor in order to examine the roof in front of the roof supports.
