Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Cyfarthfa iron works, photograph

The eastern end of Cyfarthfa Iron Works from the south south east. At the left are the rolling mills; the works office is on the right; on the hillside beyond is Cyfarthfa Castle, the mansion of the Crawshay family which owned the works. The works are idle, indicating that this was taken during one of the strikes and periods of closure in the 1870s.

Paper print within a card window mount. Title 'Cyfarthfa Castle and part of the Iron Works' printed on label and attached bottom left. Label also attached bottom right with photographers name.
