Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Aberdare, photograph

Two Aberdare Colliers. The younger man on the left wears the typical collier's garb of the time, corduroy (gradually replacing moleskin) trousers with "yorks" at the knees to facilitate kneeling together with waistcoat, flannel shirt, scarf and cap. The other man is similarly dressed except for a hat instead of a cap.
