The S.S. GLAMORGAN was built in 1906 by Craig Taylor of Stockton on Tees for Jenkins Bros., Cardiff. The name of the vessel is spelt incorrectly on the painting.

The S.S. GLAMORGAN was completed in 1906 by Craig, Taylor & Co. Ltd. of Stockton-on-Tees for Jenkins Bros. of Cardiff. Sold in 1919 she was wrecked in the St. Lawrence River in November 1923.
