S.S. TEMPLE INN, glass negative

ss. TEMPLE INN (5231gt) : Launched December 1939 and completed 1940 by Lithgows Ltd., Port Glasgow (engined by Rankin & Blackmore), for the Temple Steamship Co., 1959 – Sold to A & D Chandris and renamed MARVIKI. She was lost on 22 July 1965 near Mormugoa after springing a leak while en route from Madras to Constanza with a cargo of iron ore. She had been beached and the crew removed, but then broke in two and sank. (notes from “clydesite” and TheShipsList)
