Certificate of exemption from military service during World War One, Field Service Postcard and Unit Register Card, for Evan W. Jones. Certificate was issued on the 29 August 1916, and was valid until 29 September 1916 (one month of exemption from duty), on the grounds of 'exceptional domestic position'. The occupation of Evan W. Jones is noted as 'slate quarryman'. Evan W. Jones survived the war, but was later was involved in an accident at Dinorwig Quarry, and died at the Quarry Hospital on 1st December, 1924.
