Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Red earthenware, painted tin-glaze decoration. Large rotund form, with very narrow neck and opening with wider ridge halfway at neck, Strap handle running from ridge at neck to body of bottle. Visible potting lines to body of bottle. Decorated with white tin-glaze with painted decoration in burnt yellow. Yellow decoration applied with a brush, one apposite handle, circular main form, with petal-like strokes at top and bottom. Two scrolls at right angles to handle in yellow. At neck two yellow bands.
