Plate, earthenware, rounded foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, a shaped edge to the rim; the well transfer-printed in green with the 'Italian Verandah' pattern, a romantic Italianate landscape with in the foreground two figures in a garden with a flowered archway, the rim covered with a yellow ground, brown lines around the edge of the well and rim.
