Passenger/ cargo vessel built 1950 by Greenock Dockyard Co., Greenock, (engine by Parsons Marine Steam Turbine Co., Wallsend), for Clan Line Steamers (Cayzer, Irvine & Co Ltd.), . 1960 – Transferred to Springbok Line and renamed STEENBOK. 1961 – Transferred to Safmarine and renamed SOUTH AFRICAN SEAFARER. 1966 – Renamed S.A.SEAFARER. On 1st July of that year , she ran onto rocks while entering Table Bay, South Africa, and broke into three pieces, thus becoming a total wreck. (wikipedia /Clanline)
