Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Ticket holder

Wooden hinged book/ticket cover. Two pieces of rectangular plywood held together by a strip of leather nailed to each piece, each piece covered with a piece of card, elastic around hinge. Empty of tickets. Spring clip ticket holders were widely, perhaps almost universally used by UK bus conductors in the middle decades of the twentieth century. The number of clips was determined by the number of destinations and fare stages on the particular route.
