Nantymwyn lead mine, report

Nantymwyn Mines annual report, October 29th 1863. The report is written by Matthew Rogers of Tregullow, Truro, and is addressed to William Williams Esq. (of Cornwall) who had instructed Rogers to make an annual report of the mine. The report gives full detail of developments and working on Rodericks Lode for 12 months which was clearly - by the ammount of work being done - the main operating area on the mine at that date. The report details the present state of all haedings, stopes (inc. values), winzes/shafts, and shows how they have progressed since the last report. It also details the number of Tutworkers and Tributers employed and their monthly wages per man over the twelve months. Handwritten in ink on three pages. For plan accompaning report see 1996.240/2.
