Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Milk jug

Milk jug, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a high spreading foot with three raised ribs around the top, ovoid body, raised neck with wide spout, high loop handle with a moulded flower to the upper terminal and a mask to the lower terminal; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the front of the exterior body a large spray of flowers with an insect to one side, the foot, exterior neck, spout and handle painted gilt. The handle broken and repaired.
