Mine-workers protest, photograph

The event occured on Wednesday morning 14 December 1910, and was reported on page 6 of the Western Mail the following day. This march of 10,000 Rhondda mine-workers was in protest against summonses served on some Gilfach Goch men for alleged intimidation under the conspiracy Act. The report mentions that a banner with the motto "Hungry as Lions" was held aloft on Amos Hill, Pen-Y-Graig, by two bearers.
