Roman copper alloy belt fitting

Narrow, bar like, fitting of D-shaped cross-section. Curved surface decorated by a series of transverse grooves. Swivel or hing fitting along one side. Knob terminals at either end. Two rivets project from the underside.

Badly corroded, only one rivet survives to any extent.
