Cup and saucer

Breakfast cup and saucer, glassy paste, plainly shaped, the saucer with flat well, and the cup with deep bowl, loop handle with lower inner spur and residual thumbpiece, painted in the Empire style with dark-green and purple symbols and gold, the saucer with two groups of a swan and staff opposite a xylophone??, both with trailing gilt arabesques and a third group of a ewer and crossed staves amidst foliate gilding, centrally placed gilt sprig; the cup similarly decorated with a ever, cornucopia and vase respectively amidst gilt scrolls and sprigs; gilt rims, gilt band around foot, gilt detailing to handle; gilding very rubbed; bubbly glaze
