A shield, DESPENSER (as W311), crest: a gryphon's head between two wings erect, out of (?) a ducal coronet; between two trees on each, suspended by a strap, a lozenge-shaped shield: dext. three chevronels, CLARE; sin. a lion rampant queue fourchy, in a cusped quatrefoil, BURGHESH.
