North Sands type vessel built 1944 by United Shipyards Ltd., Montreal (engine by Dominion Engineering Works Ltd., Montreal) for the Canadian Government, assigned to Park Steamship Co Ltd., and managed by Cunard White Star Ltd., Montreal. 1946 – Transferred to UK Ministry of Transport, managed by Cunard White Star Line, London. 1950 – Sold to Waverley Overseas Freighters Ltd., Halifax, and renamed KENILWORTH, managed by Fafalios Ltd., London. 1956 – Sold to Cia Filiori de Nav., Panama, and renamed AEOLOS, managed by D.J.Fafalios, Chios. 1961 – Sold to Speedwell Shipping Co., Beirut, and renamed ATOLOS. 1964 – Sold to Prekookeanska Plovidba, Bar, Yugoslavia, and renamed MOJKOVAK. She was broken up at Split in 1969. (ref : - mariners-L)
